The Annual Session of the Russian Section of the International Academy of Sciences (RS/IAS)
January 16, 2007. The Annual session of the Russian Section of the International Academy of Sciences (RS/IAS) took place in Moscow House of Scientists.
The president of the IAS, Pr. W. Kofler (Austria) presented his report on the main directions of the IAS’s activity in 2007.
The vice-president of the IAS, co-president of the RS/IAS, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (RAMS) and IAS K. V. Sudakov and the general director of the RS/IAS, academician of the RAMS and IAS V. G. Zilov made their presents on the results of the RS/IAS’s work in 2006.
In particularly, the achievements of the Section for the Humanities of the RS/IAS, which was founded on the basis of Moscow University for the Humanities in 2006 (academician-secretary Val. A. Lukov, the director of the Institute of Humanitarian Researches of MUH), were mentioned. The Section prepared and published monographs, collections of scientific proceedings on relevant problems of humanitarian knowledge, some scientific conferences were conducted. The report on the section’s work is published in the Vestnik of the IAS (RS).
The main scientific report “Man in the Changing World” was given by academician of the IAS, Pr. G. L. Bilich.
The president of the IAS W. Kofler invested the 2006 best Russian young scientists with rewards.
Among the rewarded there was the chief of the Social Projection of University Education and Sociology of Youth Center of the Institute of Humanitarian Researches of MUH, candidate of economical sciences V. A. Gnevasheva. She was decorated with I. P. Pavlov’s Honourable Bronze Sign and rewarded with a stimulatory research grant of the IAS “For the state-of-the-art progress in scientific and professional activity”.
