Abstract ◊ In the basis of the mental life of person there is the phylogenetically inborn unconscious. It is related to the ontogenetically formed unconscious — the subconscious. Forming a unity, these two types of the unconscious are the foundation for the preconscious and conscious.

Keywords: the innermost unconscious, the subconscious, the conscious, the nonconscious, the vertex unconscious, the rational, the irrational, the spontaneous.
