Abstract ◊ Fairy discourse represents a national worldview and mentality of a nation. Thus, the article considers it as a rich subject matter for the training of students in a foreign language. The analysis is based on an example of training of Vietnamese students who are invited to compare lexis and samples of one Russian and one Vietnamese tale.
