◊ In the research an analysis of pedagogical approaches to determination of conditions for teachers authority formation in the context of authoritarian and humanistic positions is presented. Upon that an attempt to find out the influence of historical and cultural conditions on the requirements to teachers professional and personal qualities, which determine his/her moral authority, is being made.
