Abstract ◊ The paper discusses the cognitive innovation in terms of the philosophy of transdisciplinarity. This approach makes it possible to offer a different interpretation of the innovation that has already become an established label of contemporary social discourse. On the other hand, it provides an opportunity to show the resources of the transdisciplinary approach with a view to clarify the problems of the contemporary philosophy of science.
